Terms of Sale & Educational Use

Before we get into the fine print...

Thank you for considering a Dig Earth Studio resource!

We'd much rather be exploring earthquakes, rivers and volcanoes than talking about terms and conditions. But even Earth science needs a little paperwork.

Below you'll find the essentials about purchasing, downloading and using our educational resources, including what your single-school licence covers.

We've tried to keep things clear and straightforward, so you can spend less time reading the fine print and more time bringing Earth science into your classroom.

Effective date: 29 September 2026

Please read before purchasing. These terms apply to digital education resources sold directly through the Dig Earth Studio website. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

1. Scope

These terms govern orders for downloadable activity packs, teacher guides, answer keys and related digital educational materials purchased from Dig Earth Studio. They do not replace any separately stated terms for third-party platforms or commissioned projects.

2. Orders and payment

Product descriptions and prices are shown on the relevant product pages. Any applicable VAT and the total payable amount are displayed during checkout before the order is placed.

Payments are processed through Stripe. An order is confirmed after successful payment.

3. Digital delivery

Products are supplied digitally, not as printed materials.

After successful payment, download access is provided through the checkout process and/or sent to the email address entered at purchase.

Please check that the email address is correct and retain your purchase confirmation.

If a download does not arrive or cannot be opened, contact us using the details below.

4. Withdrawal and refunds

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, the applicable withdrawal period and exceptions are governed by consumer law.

For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, this right may be lost once supply begins only where the purchaser has given the required prior express consent, acknowledged the loss of the withdrawal right, and received the legally required confirmation.

Where these conditions have not been met, the applicable statutory rights remain in place.

Nothing in these terms limits rights relating to faulty, inaccessible or incorrectly supplied digital content.

For order or refund questions, please email us.

5. Educational licence

Unless expressly stated otherwise, each purchase includes a single-school educational licence covering one school at one physical campus.

All teaching staff at the licensed school may use the purchased materials for educational purposes. This includes printing student worksheets for any classes at that school, distributing student-facing materials through restricted learning platforms, and sharing teacher guides and answer keys internally among the school's teaching staff.

The licence permits repeated classroom use in subsequent academic years without requiring another purchase.

Materials may be adapted for internal classroom use, provided original copyright notices and creator credits are retained.

The licence is non-exclusive and non-transferable. It remains valid for the licensed school and does not extend to other campuses or institutions.

6. Restrictions

Copyright remains with Dig Earth Studio. Purchase does not transfer ownership or copyright of the materials.

The licence does not permit resale, public uploading, commercial redistribution, or sharing purchased files outside the licensed school without prior written permission.

Other schools, including schools belonging to the same academy trust, district or educational organisation, require a separate licence for each physical campus.

Student-facing materials may be distributed through restricted school learning platforms, but purchased resources must not be uploaded to publicly accessible websites, file-sharing services or resource libraries.

Teacher guides and answer keys may be shared internally with teaching staff at the licensed school but must not be made publicly accessible or distributed to other schools.

7. Content and availability

Dig Earth Studio aims to provide accurate, useful educational resources.

Interactive experiments and simulations are simplified teaching models and should not be treated as real-world forecasts, professional advice or substitutes for field measurements.

Online interactive tools may be updated or temporarily unavailable.

Product descriptions identify what is included in each purchase.

8. Liability and statutory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability or consumer remedies where doing so is prohibited by applicable law.

Users remain responsible for checking that activities are suitable for their students, curriculum and classroom setting.
